Planeterra’s community partners earned $2.89M in 2024
Planeterra – G Adventures’ non-profit organization – has published its 2024 Impact Report, highlighting how travel can be a force for good by strengthening local economies and preserving cultural heritage around the world.
In 2024 alone, communities partnering with Planeterra’s travel network earned CAD $2.89 million (USD $2.12 million), directly improving the lives of over 30,000 people in 51 countries, the organization said in a press release Thursday (July 24).
This year’s report goes beyond numbers, illustrating how community tourism creates lasting, equitable connections between travellers and local people.
It features compelling data and real-life success stories from initiatives led by women, youth, and Indigenous leaders—each demonstrating how tourism can support critical community priorities, from job creation and income generation to environmental protection and cultural celebration.
