Trafalgar partners with Tourism Authority of Thailand to celebrate 2017 Asia Program
Trafalgar recently celebrated its 2017 Asia Program with trade events in Halifax and Calgary, bringing together travel partners and travel agents for a Thai cooking demo and special “Be my Guest” meal with prizes.
“We are delighted again to be partnering with The Tourism Authority of Thailand along with Kayla’s support to celebrate our 2017 Asia brochure with our ever expanding program,” Wolf Paunic, president of Trafalgar Canada, stated in a release.
“Thailand is a spectacular destination and we are so pleased to host an authentic Thai experience for our trade partners and media in Calgary and Halifax.”
Activities in Calgary and Halifax are just two more nationwide events from the long-standing relationship and partnership between Trafalgar and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
“In addition to our program launch, it’s important to us to celebrate the culinary experiences our itineraries offer since Thailand has successfully attracted repeat Canadian clients year over year,” stated Paunic.
Culinary experiences featured Trafalgar’s Treasures of Thailand itinerary include:
- A “Be My Guest” experience in Chiang Mai featuring warm Northern Thai hospitality during a lunch with a local family in their stilt house.
- Learning the secrets of traditional Thai recipes in a cooking class with a local specialist in a Thai style house with wooden décor and furnishings. Before the start of the class, guests visit a local market to buy fresh ingredients, including local exotic fruits and vegetables.
- Visiting a coconut palm sugar plantation and discovering how the farmer extracts the sap from the palm trees to eventually be turned into sugar.
- A shopping trip to the famous floating fruit and vegetable market at Damnoen Saduak.
