Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) has launched an exciting new platform: TDC Social Media powered by Rallio.

This all-in-one tool helps TDC members manage their social media presence more efficiently by offering centralized access to exclusive, ready-to-use content tailored to each agency—free of charge.

“In the distribution industry via travel professionals, it is not always easy to stand out since the product offering is relatively similar from one network to another,’” said Karine Gagnon, TDC’s general manager, in a press release. “The key to carving out a distinctive place in the customers’ minds is to have a strong voice and a unique brand image online, especially on social media. And that's what TDC Social Media offers to members of our entire network: it doesn't matter whether you're a franchised or affiliated agency, a Transat Travel/Voyages Transat agency or a member of the agent@home program, everyone can connect their Facebook page for free on this exclusive channel. And when I say all, it really is the case: the agency can obviously connect its Facebook page, but each advisor can also connect his or her personal page, free of charge. It's a real win-win situation.”

Much of the content distributed via TDC’s new turnkey solution was developed in collaboration with TDC’s partners, Gagnon added.

Easy to use & flexible

Marc Pelletier, senior director of marketing, communications and events, called TDC Social Media “an essential addition to our marketing arsenal, and of great added value for our members.”

The platform offers a rich content library.

“Our members have access to original and impactful publications and visuals, created for them by the TDC marketing team, and made available to them if they wish to modify them,” Pelletier stated. “For me, it ticks all the boxes: it's perfect for both the owner or advisor who has few resources to devote to maintaining their online presence and needs something ready to use, as well as for those who are already very active on social media but would like occasional support to improve their posts.”

It’s also a powerful distribution platform, he said, allowing TDC to transmit, in a centralized way, the content that it creates for members.

Content that is personalized with the agency's contact details, “that directs them to their website, and this without anyone having to intervene, since everything is programmed in advance,” he said.

Social media TDC also incorporates a writing aid tool powered by artificial intelligence, “to increase efficiency and compensate for lack of inspiration,” he said.

“As our raison d'être is to support our members, access to this exclusive channel allows them to focus on their area of expertise, namely travel sales,” he said. “We want to equip them to be more agile, to make the most of social media, as a strong online presence is essential for business development.”

TDC Social Media will continue to develop in the coming months with the addition of new features, he added.

In a press release, TDC shared some advisor testimonials.

“The engaging and creative posts truly set us apart in the industry. The platform is very user friendly, making it easy to schedule and create new content in just minutes,” said stated Sarah Crowhurst, owner at Travel Plus The Travel Place, noting that the platform has “taken our social media posts to the next level.”

Jeromy Wilhelm, owner of Marlin Travel Hanover, stated that “transitioning to the new TDC Social Media platform was seamless and easy.”

“I’m certainly impressed with the richness of the graphics, the quotes are captivating and I’m hopeful that over time, as I increase the consistency of my social media posts,” he said. “I’ll see an added increase in engagement. Overall, I’m happy with what I’ve seen so far.”
