VIDEO: What's it like aboard Celebrity Xcel? PAX finds out with Celebrity's Allan Brooks, nat'l dir. sales, CA
Get ready to Xcel-erate vacations at sea.
This week, PAX joined Celebrity Cruises, its leadership teams, travel advisors and executives aboard the cruise line’s newest ship, Celebrity Xcel, on a special two-night naming voyage out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The fifth vessel in Celebrity’s Edge Series, the glam ship with 1,646 staterooms, 15 restaurants, along with 12 bars and lounges, represents a bold reimagining of the Edge line, debuting seven new venues, including three new restaurants and a re-envisioned multi-use aft space.

As previously reported, there’s a lineup of Edge “firsts” on board, including The Bazaar, a multi-sensory space (formally known as Eden) that showcases destinations with markets, pop-up shops, live music, festivals, dancers and carnivals; Bora, (a Mediterranean rooftop restaurant, formally the Rooftop Grill), Attic at The Club (an adults-only, 24-7 neon-lit arcade); enhancements at the Celebrity Pool Club; spa upgrades (like the Hydra Room) and the first-ever flagship Celebrity store.

To Xcel is to rise above expectations—and nowhere is that pursuit more boldly realized than aboard Celebrity Xcel, according to Allan Brooks, national director of sales for Canada at Celebrity Cruises.
PAX connected with Brooks on board Celebrity Xcel to unpack the new ship, explore the reimagined spaces, and gain a deeper understanding of Celebrity’s mission to “Xcel-erate” cruise ship experiences.
Plus, the latest on Celebrity’s upcoming river cruise program, debuting in 2027!
