VIDEO: Wet & wild – NCL’s Derek Lloyd takes PAX inside Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay
What happens when Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) packs 19 waterslides, cliff jumping, a not-so-lazy river and high-speed thrills onto its private island in the Bahamas?
You get wet. Very wet.
Last week, PAX, on a sailing from Miami to the Bahamas aboard Norwegian Getaway, was among the first to take the plunge at Great Tides Waterpark, NCL’s action-packed new attraction at Great Stirrup Cay.
As previously reported, Great Tides is the latest chapter in NCL’s growing investment in private-island experiences.

The waterpark, where day passes will be dynamically priced, is divided into four action-packed zones — Tidal Tower, Cliffside Cove, Wandering River and Splash Cay — each serving up its own mix of splashes, thrills and adrenaline.
But what's it really like? Don't worry. PAX had its cameras rolling (GoPro included) to capture every splash, drop and thrill during our visit.
