Andrea Arkell joins ACV@Home as ASM for Ontario & Eastern Canada

Independent travel advisors who participate in the ACV@Home program will be interacting with a new (but familiar) face.

Andrea Arkell, a former travel advisor, has joined the program as an area sales manager (ASM) for Ontario and Eastern Canada (excluding Quebec), PAX has learned.

This role was previously held by Krista Rothfuchs, who left ACV in June to become a business development manager at Exodus Adventure Travels.

In her new role, Arkell, previously a regional sales manager at Air Canada, will work in collaboration with Tina Kensett, who oversees ACV@Home in Western Canada. She will be managed by ACV's Marigold Frontuna.

As an ASM, Arkell will provide the trade with tools, training, engagement opportunities and updates related to all things ACV.   

“I am so excited to be given this opportunity,” Arkell tells PAX. “It combines both my recent role at Air Canada and past experience as a travel advisor. It’s my dream role! Coming from the retail agent side, from brick and mortar and then as an independent advisor, I really look forward to using that foundation to help this amazing program thrive.”

Arkell says the growth in independent advisors over the years has been “remarkable and so important.”

“It’s my goal to make those meaningful connections that I valued so much as an agent,” she says. “Air Canada Vacations has so much to offer, and empowering agents new and old with such a fantastic program is what I’m so excited for.”
