Another group of 45 Canadians stranded in Los Cabos, Mexico in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile returned home this weekend on a WestJet flight.
The airline was the latest Canadian carrier to send a plane and return travellers home following the hurricane, which slammed the Baja California peninsula last weekend before dying down to a tropical storm as it headed into the Pacific Ocean. WestJet also brought down 4,000 bottles of water after the hurricane knocked out power and affected water supplies in the area.
With the area’s airport still closed, WestJet has cancelled all flights to Los Cabos until at least Sept. 28.
