New Starfish Resorts brand adds to Blue Diamond portfolio
Sunwing's Blue Diamond Hotels and Resorts has launched a new brand, Starfish Resorts, which it describes as "all inclusive properties offering outstanding value and a lively vacation atmosphere."
Catering to clients of all ages, Starfish Resorts is intended to deliver an active schedule of social events, dance classes, sports activities, and more.
The Starfish Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba is the first addition under the resort brand portfolio, previously operated as La Estrella, Cayo Santa Maria.
The all-suite property is surrounded by verdant flora with two expansive free-form swimming pools. Accommodation options include junior suites and suites with stunning views of the ocean or tropical gardens. In-suite features include room service, a mini bar, coffee maker, and in-room safe, along with signature Starfish amenities.
A supervised kids club and activities are a plus for families, the company says in a release, while couples may wish to make use of the dedicated on-property romance and wedding planner. A schedule of daily activities and sports will be available, while evening performances and events will be hosted in the resort's theatre accommodating over 1,000 audience members.
Six distinct buffet and à la carte restaurants are on-property, plus the resort is equipped with four separate bars. In addition, 24-hour food and beverage service is available.
The all-inclusive program offers activities ranging from snorkelling and kayaking during the day to the disco and entertainment theatre at night.
Beyond the all-inclusive plan, clients can choose to take advantage of additional on-site services for purchase, including motorized water sports rentals, massage and beauty treatments, jeep and scooter rentals, babysitting services, and more.
