Flight Centre opens new flagship in Toronto’s Financial District
Flight Centre Canada has unveiled a new flagship store in Toronto’s financial district, showcasing its commitment to in-person travel planning as others scale back physical footprints.
As PAX first reported, the new store is located in Royal Bank Plaza and directly connected to Toronto’s PATH system.
“Canadians aren’t just booking vacations—they’re looking for someone they can trust to guide the way,” said Chris Lynes, managing director of Flight Centre Travel Group Canada, in a statement. “Nearly nine in 10 travellers see real value in working with a travel expert, especially when it comes to peace of mind, reducing stress, and having someone in their corner when plans change. That’s what this new store delivers: connection, confidence, and a reminder that great travel starts with a great conversation.”
Replacing its long-standing Yonge and King location, the new store is designed with modern travellers in mind.

It features flexible spaces, digital enhancements, including the brand’s iconic airfare ticker boards, and areas for everything from quick getaway chats to in-depth travel planning consultations.
“This new space reflects our long-term vision for Canada—where travel advice remains human, local, and built on trust,” Lynes added.
The opening also marks a milestone moment: 30 years since Flight Centre launched its first Canadian shop in Vancouver.
“We’re celebrating three decades of helping generations of Canadians see the world,” said Lynes. “This flagship store is both a nod to our roots and a leap into the future of travel retail.”
The launch complements the travel retailer’s refreshed global brand tagline, Your Centre for Travel, which leans into the fact that Flight Centre offers more than just flights, but also full-service options including tours, cruises, car rentals, insurance, and more.
Now open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (extended to 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting June 1), Flight Centre’s new flagship store is located at 200 Bay Street, Unit 132-A, inside Royal Bank Plaza—just steps from Union Station and Toronto’s downtown commuter flow.
It’s a bright spot for an iconic brand that had to make severe cutbacks to its Canadian operations during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In October 2020, Flight Centre laid off more than 600 of its employees in Canada – a move the company called “a very painful step” as it navigated the crippling effect that COVID-19 was having on travel at the time.
