Antje Splettstoesser resigns from GNTO

Antje Splettstoesser has resigned from her role as the director of the German National Tourist Office in Toronto, effective April 10, 2018.

"After four wonderful and interesting years as director of the German National Tourist Office, I have decided to resign from my position," Splettstoesser told PAX. "My last day will be April 10."

In the past four years, Splettstoesser has seen tourism arrivals to Germany from Canada grow at a significant rate, representing an increase of 8 per cent in 2017 as well as 13 per cent additional overnights in January 2018.

Last month, Splettstoesser was the face of PAX magazine's March issue, where she opened up about her love for both Germany and Toronto, and how she came to work in the travel industry.
