TravelBrands is celebrating International Women’s Day 2024, embracing this year’s theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” while reaffirming its commitment to nurturing a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion within the Canadian travel industry.

Recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in shaping both our world and the travel landscape, TravelBrands said it commemorates International Women's Day with a reflection on the strides made and the continued journey toward gender equality.

The company says it remains resolute in its commitment to effecting positive change and fostering an inclusive future for all.

Some of the company’s key initiatives include:

  • Implementation of an equal pay strategy: Regular audits are conducted to ensure compensation is fair and transparent, regardless of gender.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belongingness sessions: These are provided for all staff and presented by the company’s diverse team members.
  • Gender-neutral recruitment processes: Ensuring that all job descriptions and hiring criteria are free from gender bias.

"As a woman who has navigated the business world for the past three decades, I understand the challenges of striving to prove oneself," said Nathalie Tanious, president and CEO at TravelBrands. "Now, as the president and CEO of one of Canada’s leading travel companies, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where every individual, regardless of gender, feels empowered to flourish. International Women's Day serves as a profound reminder of the ongoing journey toward gender equality and inclusivity that remains imperative today.”

“International Women's Day is more than just a celebration; it's a recommitment to building a workplace where every individual feels empowered, irrespective of gender," said Diana Valler, chief human resources officer at TravelBrands. "At TravelBrands, we embrace diversity and inclusion as fundamental pillars of our culture, driving us to create opportunities for all to thrive. This year, we proudly attained the Great Place To Work Certification, which looks at all sorts of metrics, including important values in the workplace such as trust, justice, and respect. This certification underscores our ongoing dedication to prioritizing our people through innovative programs and initiatives and to keep building a supportive and inclusive company culture."

"As one of three female executives, I am immensely proud,” added Diane Lattavo, chief air commercial officer at TravelBrands. “Our organization boasts an exceptional team across all levels, demonstrating support for individuals of every background. We strive to foster an environment where everyone feels empowered to be their authentic selves and reach for the stars."

TravelBrands has symbolically changed its logos to purple as a gesture of support for International Women's Day.
