National Geographic Signature with G Adventures itineraries revealed

G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions have officially launched National Geographic Signature with G Adventures, a new collection of high-end travel experiences offering access to the world through the lens of National Geographic.

According to a release, the new tours focus on expert education and immersive experiences that ensure meaningful benefits for local communities.

Designed for culturally-curious travellers, te collection opens up the world through expert knowledge and education, special access to rarely seen places, meaningful immersion into local culture and a sense of purpose.

On sale now, the collection features 32 trips across 28 destinations, ranging from shorter seven-day trips to longer 19-day, more in-depth adventures across Southern Africa and Peru to Japan, Costa Rica, Central Asia, Morocco, Vietnam, Palau (a new destination for G Adventures) and more.

Signature moments

Each trip features moments that “bring the spirit of National Geographic to life.”

For example, in Cambodia, guests enter the restricted Conservation d’Angkor centre to meet specialists restoring and repatriating stolen antiquities.

In Morocco, travellers will meet pioneering chef Najat Kaanache to explore Fez’s ninth-century market, and explore Marrakech’s medina with an expert storyteller, featured in National Geographic for his work in the revival of the ancient Moroccan art of Hikayat storytelling.

Beyond Signature Moments, trips also feature rare or private access to locations and sites that define experiential luxury; from dining in a private villa overlooking Lake Maggiore on Isola Bella Island and before-hours canopy walkways in Costa Rica, to exclusive access to Amman’s Citadel and archaeological ruins at sunset and a private dinner in Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms.

These experiences are designed not only to amaze, but to educate, unlocking parts of the world through National Geographic’s spirit of discovery.

Defining features of the collection are the National Geographic Expedition Leaders and National Geographic Expedition Experts, who will accompany each trip, said G.

Highly experienced Expedition Leaders will lead each departure and provide travellers with a broad understanding of the destination, while Expedition Experts are leaders in their specific field, ranging from photographers, biologists and geologists to historians, filmmakers, naturalists, archaeologists, conservationists and more.

With many Expedition Experts being local to each destination, they provide travellers with the rare chance to learn directly from the people advancing knowledge and research on the ground.

Every Signature trip purchase also helps to support the nonprofit National Geographic Society, which works to protect and illuminate our world through exploration, research and education. Community-focused initiatives ensure local people benefit directly while giving travellers a more authentic connection to the places they visit.

In Peru, travellers will visit the Caccaccollo Women’s Weaving Cooperative accompanied by Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez, a National Geographic Society grantee, to learn about the preservation of the Indigenous Quechuan weaving traditions.

In Egypt, they will learn to prepare traditional Egyptian bread at Nawaya, a project which empowers women working in the traditionally male-dominated agriculture industry. A farm-to-table meal and lively discussion with one of the co-founders provide insights into how these role models are challenging traditional gender norms.

Five-star or best-in-region

Accommodations throughout the collection are five-star or best-in-region and provide an elevated standard of hospitality without compromising the spirit of exploration.

Prioritizing accommodations that reflect the destination and a sense of place, travellers will stay in serene vineyards, classic safari camps, eco-lodges, mountain retreats, design-forward hotels, historic riads, beachside boutiques, grand metropolitan icons or retreats offering views of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
