BLS International launches service for Canada–India visa & consular needs

Canadians planning travel to India and travellers from India can now save time with a new visa and consular request service introduced by BLS International, which is eliminating the need for call queues with 24/7 anytime, anywhere assistance.

The advanced intelligent AI-enabled service introduction “marks a significant leap forward in visa application services,” the company wrote in a press release.

From answering basic visa-related questions to guiding callers through documentation and consular services, the AI service aims to “swiftly and accurately addresses customer queries, and reduces wait times when live agents are requested,” the company says.

It is designed first and foremost for clients, especially during periods of high call volumes.

“Technology and innovation have always been integral to BLS International’s operational philosophy. We are proud to introduce the industry’s first AI-powered information solution, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the application experience for our customers in Canada,” said Shikhar Aggarwal, joint managing director at BLS International, in a statement. “The rollout of this AI-powered client excellence service reinforces our commitment to delivering accessible, efficient, and customer-centric visa, consular, attestation, and related services. By offering instant access to accurate information, we aim to elevate the service experience and build the next generation of citizen-facing technologies.”

Multi-phased transformation

This is the initial launch phase, and is part of a multi-phased digital transformation.

Phase 2 will support over 22 additional languages, enabling a seamless and inclusive multilingual experience across global missions.

Phase 3 will see the launch an AI-powered Chatbot alongside an AI-powered email response system to provide personalized, context-aware replies immediately after application submission or query receipt.

Phase 4 will introduce a quality management solution to monitor and evaluate 100 per cent of customer service interactions – ensuring consistency across customer touchpoints.

India’s population is expected to take approximately 100 million overseas trips per year, the company says.

To put this into perspective for Canada: Canada’s population is approximately 41 million people. “The projected outbound travel from India will be more than double Canada’s total population in a single year,” said BLS.
