Air Transat picks Farenexus as technology partner
Air Transat has selected Farenexus as its technology partner to enhance its New Distribution Capability (NDC) strategy and integration.
"This collaboration will enable the seamless distribution of Air Transat’s NDC content through Farenexus' platforms," reads a press release.
Phase 1 of the partnership will focus on integrating Air Transat’s NDC content into nexusWind, Farenexus' agency travel booking solution. This will allow Farenexus customers to access Air Transat’s offers directly within the platform.
Phase 2 will expand NDC accessibility by developing tools that enable other integration partners to connect with Air Transat’s NDC content.
“Air Transat’s decision to partner with Farenexus underscores our expertise in NDC solutions. We look forward to supporting their strategy and providing a scalable, efficient integration that benefits both Air Transat and its distribution partners,' said Ravi Panwar, CEO of Farenexus, in a statement.
Benjamin Pron, vice president commercial at Air Transat, added: “Farenexus brings valuable technical expertise to our NDC implementation. Their support has been instrumental in the initial phase, and we anticipate a productive long-term collaboration as we enhance our distribution capabilities.”
The partnership marks a "significant milestone" in the evolution of NDC technology, reinforcing both companies' commitment to innovation in airline distribution, said Farenexus.
