Lisa Pierce named VP, global sales at AC & ACV; trade events coming in April
Lisa Pierce has transitioned into the role of vice-president of global sales at Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations.
Pierce, since December 2020, had been Air Canada's vice president of Canada and U.S. sales.
Her new title was announced internally last month, Air Canada confirmed with PAX on Monday (Feb. 6).
“I am looking forward to my newly-expanded role and the opportunity to work even more closely with Virgilio [Russi] and Nino [Montagnese],” Pierce wrote in a statement to PAX. “We are planning trade events in April with the leadership to discuss our future together with our agency partners.”
The update comes amid a company restructuring as Lucie Guillemette, executive vice-president and chief commercial officer at Air Canada and president of Air Canada Vacations, prepares to retire at the end of April.
Air Canada has since announced a realigned senior management structure that will soon take effect.
Mark Nasr, senior vice-president, products, marketing and eCommerce, will become executive vice-president marketing and digital, and president of Aeroplan.
Meanwhile, Mark Galardo, senior vice-president, network planning and revenue management, will become executive vice-president, revenue and network planning, including responsibility for Air Canada Vacations.
The new appointments will be effective on May 1.
