Globus appoints Chris Jones as director of marketing
Globus family of brands has appointed Chris Jones to the role of director of marketing.

A graduate of the Ivey School of Business, Jones has held a variety of senior marketing roles in advertising and marketing agencies, responsible for strategy, promotions and creative for accounts including Golf Town and Fitness Depot. In his new role, Jones will manage the marketing team responsible for Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways and Monograms brands.
“We are very happy to have new talent in the organization,” Bishop said. “Marketing is a rapidly evolving aspect of any business and Chris’ considerable experience in traditional and digital marketing will be a great asset to the Globus family.”
Patrice Geske retires
Last month, Globus family of brands confirmed that Patrice Geske, who formerly held the position of director of marketing, would be retiring this June.
“Patrice will definitely be missed, not only by our team here in Canada and around the world, but by the many travel retailers and suppliers she has dealt with over the years,” said Stéphanie Bishop, managing director for the Globus family of brands in Canada. “Her talents and dedication have made significant contributions to our brand building and our success. We all wish her the very best in her retirement and many ‘bons voyages’.”
Geske had been with the company for 10 years; today was officially her last day with the company.
Speaking with PAX, Jones said that in his new role, he's very much looking forward to bringing a new perspective to the company.
"Travel is an amazing industry full of imagination and emotion and with the full suite of brands that we offer, the ability to contribute to making dreams come true for our travellers is very exciting," Jones said. "I’m looking forward to bringing a new perspective and continuing to help lead an amazing group of people and relationships."
Jones will focus on examining strategic opportunities to expand the Globus family of brands in order to reach new customers.
