Air Canada Rouge names Jon Turner as new president

Air Canada Rouge has appointed Jon Turner as its new president.

In his new role,  Turner has oversight for all aspects of the leisure carrier, including a focus on its distinct brand and culture.

According to Air Canada's corporate website, Turner entered the new role as of June 2019. He replaces Duncan Bureau, who left the company and the role of president in May 2019.

A long history

Turner has been with Air Canada for a number of years, most recently re-joining the company in February 2018 as VP of maintenance.

Turner began his career at Air Canada in 1980 and held a wide-range of critical operational positions with the company. From 1997 to 2004, as general manager, aircraft programs, he was responsible for all aspects of Air Canada's aircraft acquisition and disposal. From 2004 to 2007 he was vice president, maintenance and engineering.
