TTAND hosts fundraiser in memory of Gary Gzik
The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) is helping host a fundraiser in memory of Gary Gzik, a dynamic presenter, corporate trainer, management consultant, author, and beloved member of the travel industry and TTAND family, who sadly passed away last month.
Gzik was a dear friend of many in the travel industry, often speaking at travel conferences. He motivated and inspired many at TTAND, sharing lessons that advisors will hold onto forever.
“We would like to thank you for the outpouring support of the sudden passing of our beloved Gary. It is with heavy hearts that we come together to remember and celebrate a life well lived, who left us far too soon,” reads a message shared by Gary’s wife, Jane, and children, Evan and Hannah.
Gary's family is honouring him with donations to Pencil for Kids, an organization that supports education and development in Niger, West Africa.

The charity focuses on providing resources, training, and scholarships to create a sustainable community, and its “impact is evident,” noted TTAND’s President and Founder Flemming Friisdahl in a message posted to LinkedIn.
“Donations can make a lasting difference,” he wrote.
In lieu of gifts of condolences, contributions to Pencils for Kids - at the request of Gary's family - are encouraged to continue Gary's legacy of kindness and support.
During his work with TTAND, Gary and his wife Jane were introduced to Pencils for Kids after meeting the charity’s founder, Robin Mednick, who is regular speaker at TTAND’s conferences.
Gary’s family believes the best way to pay tribute to Gary is through the act of giving and changing lives.
“He dedicated his time, energy and enthusiasm to supporting others, and there is no better way to continue on what he did for all of us,” the family writes. “We ask those who wish to make a charitable donation to please consider Pencils for Kids, as he felt so strongly about this organization, as does our family.”
