Tsunami warning lifted for Caribbean, following 7.6 magnitude earthquake

A tsunami warning has been lifted for the Caribbean, after an estimated 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck 27 miles off the coast of Honduras last night at approximately 10 p.m.
According to a report by CNN, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reports that the earthquake hit the east end of Great Swan Island, Honduras.
The USGS website currently shows data for seven earthquakes ranging from 4.3 to the massive 7.6 scale event, all occuring on Jan. 10, 2018.
No serious damages or casualties have been recorded at this time, however officials urge residents of the Caribbean to remain cautious.
Today marks four months since Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 storm, tore through the Caribbean, followed by a second Category 5 storm, Hurricane Maria, just weeks later. Much of the Caribbean is still recovering and rebuilding from both hurricanes.
