Travel suppliers bring holiday cheer to London agencies with caroling visits

Travel suppliers visited nine London, Ontario agencies last week, armed with jingle bells, Santa hats and Christmas carols, offering advisors a musical break during the demanding holiday booking season.

Dubbed "The Caroling Crew of Christmas," representatives from Holland America Line, Seabourn, HX Expeditions, Globus Family, Exodus Travels, Manulife, The Armstrong Collective, Viking, Sandos and Celestyal visited agencies throughout London on Dec. 12, performing holiday classics including "Deck the Halls," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Last Christmas" and "Feliz Navidad."

"It's not every day your supplier rep bursts through the door singing 'Feliz Navidad,'" said Maria from RobertQ Travel.

"I wish every product update came with tarts and a baritone."

Aaron Crawford of Holland America Line and Seabourn, who organized the initiative, said the goal was to celebrate travel advisors during the demanding holiday booking season.

"Agents work incredibly hard this time of year," Crawford said.

"So we thought why not celebrate them while celebrating Christmas? Singing seemed more fun than another PowerPoint."

The group visited RobertQ Travel, Posh Travel, Transat LuxeXperts, two Expedia Cruises locations, Ellison Travel & Tours, CAA Trave and Budget Travel Warehouse throughout the day.

RobertQ Travel provided transportation for the caroling crew.

Crawford said several agencies have already asked if the group will return next year.

Participating suppliers included Aaron Crawford (Holland America Line/Seabourn), Ian Kivell (HX Expeditions), Elaine French (Globus Family), Krista Rothfuchs (Exodus Travels), Karen Salviato and Carol Reid (Manulife), Krystal Langenberg (The Armstrong Collective), Hilary Brown (Viking), Juan Ruiz (Sandos) and Stephanie McDonald (Celestyal).
