Toronto Pearson is expected to welcome more than 9.6 million passengers this summer, marking the busiest season on record for Canada’s largest airport.
To accommodate for the increased traffic, Toronto Pearson is working closely with airlines, service providers and agency partners on a number of measures that will improve the airport’s efficiency, including self-serve baggage drop kiosks, increased staffing and online parking reservations.
For travellers planning on flying through Pearson this summer, the airport has released the following tips:
- Check-in online, in advance of your flight.
- Arrive at least two hours before a domestic flight, and three hours before an international flight.
- Use the self-serve baggage drops in Terminal 3.
- Reserve a parking spot online by visiting here.
- Check your airline’s baggage policies in advance to make sure you meet the criteria. For a full list of airlines operating at Toronto Pearson, click here.
- Pack smart and “dressing for success” in a way that allows you to get through security smoothly. CATSA, the agency responsible for security screening at Toronto Pearson and all Canadian airports, has comprehensive information and tips on their website.
