SAA bringing Africa to Toronto
South African Airways brings its 2017 Africa Showcase to Toronto next month, featuring more than 30 exhibitors representing the latest trends, properties and destinations from across the continent.
The Toronto show takes place on Sept. 11 at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel (90 Bloor St. E) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Toronto is one of only three dates for the event in North America, with stops also scheduled for Washington DC and Los Angeles.
Now in its ninth year, the Africa Showcase is the largest travel trade event in North America focusing exclusively on promoting Africa, bringing together travel specialists and African suppliers representing hotels, safari lodges, destination tourism organizations and other attractions that are popular with North American travellers.
The event also presents the opportunity for new travel agents and tour operators that are not currently selling Africa to broaden their sales portfolio and learn more about selling the rich heritage, diverse culture, beautiful landscapes and amazing experiences of Africa.
“The Africa Showcase is a highly productive trade show and a great networking opportunity,” said Todd Neuman, executive vice-president of North America for South African Airways. “For 2017, the showcase is well represented by an exceptional line up of suppliers and we are pleased to have representation and product experiences from more than 14 African countries. As a leading carrier in Africa, South African Airways’ goal in hosting the Africa Showcase is to provide our travel agent and tour operator partners with the knowledge and tools that will help them when selling travel to the continent.”
