New kids’ travel series ‘Globe Bros’ heads to TVOkids & partners
Epic Storyworlds, the sister company of Epic Story Media, has partnered with Original Content Lab on Globe Bros, a new animated comedy-adventure series for kids that has been commissioned by TVOkids, Knowledge Network, Radio-Canada and TFO, with participation from the Shaw Rocket Fund.
Targeted at kids aged six to nine, the 20 x 11-minute series was co-created by Sean Connolly, CEO of Original Content Lab, and award-winning travel writer Heather Greenwood Davis, whose global family travels inspired the concept.
“Heather and her family are truly inspiring and we hope this series encourages kids everywhere to be curious about exploring the world around them,” says Connolly.
“Even if it’s just the next town, or province!”
Globe Bros is rooted in Davis’s real-life experience travelling for a year with her husband and two sons, visiting 29 countries across six continents.
The journey led to the family being named National Geographic Traveler magazine’s Travelers of the Year.
“Travel has been such a powerful force for good in my family’s life. I’m excited to be able to share some of the lessons we’ve learned with other kids and their families,” says Davis.
“Globe Bros reflects Epic Storyworlds’ vision for storytelling: it's rooted in real human experience, filled with curiosity and humour, and designed to resonate with global audiences,” says Steve Couture, CEO of Epic Storyworlds.
“A proudly Canadian series, Globe Bros brings the whole world to kids right at home,” says Kirsten Hurd, Commissioning Editor of TVOkids. “Through exploration of new places and cultures, the series inspires curiosity and global awareness, blending learning with fun, humour, and heart.”
What the series is about
The series follows the Parks family as they embark on globe-spanning adventures, exploring new countries and cultures with the help of the magical Go-Go-Globe, a cherished family heirloom.
Brothers Miles and Kayden lead the charge on action-forward, discovery-driven journeys designed to appeal to both kids and families.
Globe Bros is currently in pre-production and is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027.
Award-winning writer David Dias is co-developing the series with Renae J. Ruddock and will serve as executive story editor.
Production will take place in Québec with Epic’s Loomi Animation, and global distribution will be handled by Epic Story Media.
