Intrepid expands North America BDM team
Chloe O’Brien, business development manager, Intrepid Group, Toronto

The Intrepid Group has hired three new business development managers (BDM) in North America.

The new BDMs will work closely with agents across the country, helping to drive industry sales and provide training on the Group’s range of more than 1,000 tours.

The new hires come in response to the record growth and demand for adventure travel in North America.

“We see North America as the biggest source of growth for adventure travel. Doubling our team is the best way we can help support the agent community through these exciting times,” Nick Shuttleworth, vice president of sales for Intrepid Group in North America, stated in a release.

After working with Flight Centre in Halifax for two and a half years as an international travel consultant, Chloe O’Brien joins the Intrepid Group team in Toronto, servicing all of Eastern Canada, including parts of Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland.

Rino Falvo, who has worked for Flight Centre as a store manager, travel consultant, and trainer for Western Canada over the past eight years, now works out of Intrepid’s Vancouver outpost, supporting industry partners throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Colombia.

Stephanie Roles, a Toronto native now living in Boston, will service the Eastern United States. Roles is currently overseeing projects throughout the entire U.S. market and is focusing on major agent accounts and new acquisitions.

The BDM team will now be managed by Mark Nessle, who moves into a senior business development manager role after more than five years with the company.

Nick Shuttleworth will continue to oversee the entire industry business as the vice president of sales.
