Uplift, the latest travel-tech company which aims to “enable travel brands to provide a better way to shop, book, pay and experience travel,” including the option for customers to pay for travel by installment, is continuing to attract new partnerships here in the Canadian market, by suppliers who recognize the unique benefits it offers prospective clients.
“A year ago travel financing was not an option, we entered the market with one goal: to make travel more accessible, affordable and rewarding for Canadians,” said Denise Heffron, managing director of Uplift, Canada. “We receive testimonials almost daily from clients who thank us for helping them make memories with their families, without the stress."
How does it work?
Powered by AI-driven, point-of-sale lending and payments technology, Uplift works exclusively through travel partner relationships and integrates into their online booking flows, enabling companies to drive significant increases in conversion rates, average transaction values and ancillary revenues.
Uplift also boasts an easy to use stand-alone agent tool, ensuring access for both online and offline customers.
"Travel agents and travel companies handle the travel as they normally would and we handle the financing," Heffron explained. "For agents using Uplift, nothing changes. Uplift works with the agent's existing payment flows and pays for the travel in full at the time of booking. Agents are paid by suppliers as they normally would be. Uplift assumes all risk related to repayment."
The following brands in the Canadian market are currently working with Uplift:
- Centre Holidays
- Niche Travel Group
- Northstar Travel & Associates
- Travel Professionals International (TPI)
- Travel Masters
Travel agents at large can also take advantage of the Uplift product through booking with Travelbrands. According to Heffron, further significant partnership announcements are imminent in these next coming months.
In the U.S., Uplift is currently working alongside Norwegian Cruise Line, Southwest Vacations, and United Airlines.
"Since our launch in Canada this year, the feedback has been amazing," Heffron said. "Customers have expressed that they are excited they can finally travel the way they want to! We cannot wait to partner with other travel brands to make travel more accessible, rewarding and affordable for all Canadians."
