CHTA talks relief efforts at JAPEX

Matt Cooper, chief marketing officer of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association, has provided crucial updates regarding the aftermath of both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Irma.

Speaking to PAX directly in Montego Bay, Jamaica as part of the JAPEX conference, Cooper acknowleged that immediate relief and fundraising efforts are underway by the CHTA and a massive awareness campaign has been launched in the Caribbean region.

To keep up with the overwhelming number of questions from travel industry partners and clients alike, the CHTA has created a website, www.caribbeantravel.com to provide ongoing updates.

A hurricane relief fund, called Tourism Cares, has been implemented by the CHTA to spearhead massive campaigns that invest in tourism infrastructure, work exchange programs, and overall relief for those who have been displaced due to hurricanes Irma and Maria.
