Amex Canada, ALL Accor partner to add points transfers, elite status benefits
American Express Canada and ALL Accor, Accor's booking platform and loyalty program, have announced a new partnership that will allow eligible Canadian cardmembers to transfer Membership Rewards points to ALL Accor and receive elite status benefits later this year.
The partnership expands redemption options for American Express Membership Rewards members, giving them access to Accor's global network of more than 45 hotel brands, including Fairmont, Raffles and Sofitel.
"Canadians are looking for more value and flexibility from their travel experiences," said Rey Saeidi, vice president, proprietary & co-brand products and rewards at American Express Canada, in a press release.
"By bringing together American Express Membership Rewards and ALL Accor, we're giving Cardmembers more ways to turn everyday spending into meaningful travel benefits, while unlocking new opportunities to earn, redeem and be rewarded wherever their travels take them."
Membership Rewards transfers coming soon
Later this year, eligible Canadian cardmembers enrolled in Membership Rewards will be able to transfer points to the ALL Accor loyalty program.
The transfer ratio will be 1,000 Membership Rewards points for 500 ALL Accor points.
Transferred points can be redeemed for hotel stays, dining experiences and other offerings across Accor's portfolio, as well as with more than 110 ALL Accor partners, subject to the program's terms and conditions.
Platinum Cardmembers to receive Gold status
The companies also plan to launch an elite status match later this year.
Under the program, eligible American Express Consumer, Small Business and Corporate Platinum Cardmembers will be able to receive ALL Accor Gold status.
Gold members receive benefits at participating Accor hotels worldwide, including complimentary Wi-Fi, welcome amenities, late check-out, room upgrades (subject to availability) and bonus ALL Accor points.
American Express and Accor said additional details, including launch dates and enrolment information, will be announced closer to the rollout later this year.
