Airliners, Atourz launch new sites

After several months of development, Ontario-based consolidator Airliners and its related tour division Atourz have launched their new websites, offering visitors new and improved content in an updated format.

According to Armin Babaei, manager of travel technology and marketing for Airliners/Atourz, the new sites are part of the company’s online rebranding process which began earlier this year. The goal of the new sites, he said, was to provide visitors with a more interactive experience and perhaps most importantly, to align their online offerings with today’s technology by making the new sites responsive to mobile platforms such as phones and tablets.

“It used to be a ‘nice to have’ feature,” Babaei told PAX, “but in today’s market, having a responsive site is now a must-have.”

Visitors to the new sites can expect a number of added features, Babaei said, including new content such as an increased focus on photos and videos as well as an interactive map for visitors to instantly explore destinations and tour packages. According to Elena Prountzopoulos, director of tour operations, for Airliners/Atourz, these new features were designed with travel agents in mind, making the booking process easier while providing them with the answers to their clients’ questions and concerns.

“Agents are reliant on us for a lot of information and because they're dealing with so many destinations, they need a tool that can provide them with that information,” Prountzopoulos said. “By having an interactive website, they’ll have all the information they need to provide their clients right there. They won’t need to do much research or follow-up.”

However, despite all the new technological advancements at the company (with more announcements expected later this summer), Airliners owner/president JR Arora told PAX that the company’s approach to doing business won’t change.

“We’re always going to keep our human touch,” he said. “We’re never going to lose that.”
