Agents take part in #VegasUnwrapped scavenger hunt

Canadian travel agents hit the streets of Las Vegas last week to tackle a series of challenges in a social media scavenger hunt as part of the LVCVA's #VegasUnwrapped MegaFAM in conjunction with WestJet.
After testing their nerves on the Stratosphere thrill rides high above the city, teams of agents used the monorail to zip up and down the Las Vegas Strip, snapping photos at several of the top attractions in town, including Cirque du Soleil theatres and the Fountains of Bellagio, as well as the world’s tallest Ferris wheel (the High Roller) and largest chocolate fountain at Jean Philippe Pâtisserie in the Bellagio.
It wasn’t all easy going, as teams had to dig deep into their Vegas knowledge to seek out trickier challenge destinations, like Secret Pizza, an unmarked pizza counter near Jaleo restaurant at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, the Cupcake ATM at Sprinkles Cupcakes in the Linq Promenade, and the Bliss Dance sculpture at T-Mobile Arena – soon to become home ice for the new Vegas NHL team, the Vegas Golden Knights.
The scavenger hunt wrapped up three days of site inspections and activities introducing agents – including many “Vegas virgins” – to hotels, restaurants and attractions throughout town.
With their challenges complete, agents headed to Downtown Las Vegas for a closing reception at Gold Diggers at the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street for an evening of music and prizes. They put their week of learning to good use in a trivia game, picking up even more knowledge about the city along the way. One fun fact: The four hotels at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard – Tropicana, MGM Grand, Excalibur, and New York-New York – have more hotel rooms than the entire city of San Francisco.
Agents tagged their social media scavenger hunt photos with the hashtag #VegasUnwrapped, so you can find all of their creative group photos and selfies by following the hashtag on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
