Solmar Hotels & Resorts introduces two new properties in Mexico

Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf & Spa and Grand Solmar The Residences at Rancho San Lucas recently made their debut as the newest luxury resorts within Solmar Hotels & Resorts’ collection of all-suite properties.

Situated on the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja peninsula with views of the Pacific Ocean, these two new resorts reveal the first phase of Rancho San Lucas, an 834-acre private resort community blending world-class experiences with residential lifestyle amenities.

“At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, we continuously strive to elevate the experience for our guests and residents. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf & Spa and Grand Solmar The Residences at Rancho San Lucas certainly do that and more, presenting an all-encompassing experience of resort, residential and golf in the most envied location of all Baja California Sur,” said Ricardo Orozco, Solmar Hotels & Resorts vice-president of operations.

Designed by renowned Dallas-based architecture firm HKS, both resorts bring the coastal Baja Mexico feel to life. Mirroring the area’s desert landscape, the overall design melds natural earth tones with traditional touches such as barrel tile roofs, archways and ironwork. Lush greenery and numerous water features, such as a lazy river and salt water lagoon, accentuate outdoor areas. The overall feel is sophisticated and welcoming, with a breezy ambiance throughout.

“Great design is as much about personal relationships as it is about creating unique and unforgettable experiences that reflect the authenticity of the destination,” said Sergio Saenz, HKS hospitality studio director. “Ensuring that the architectural design paid respect to the surroundings – from the wind-swept dunes to the Pacific shoreline and centuries-old arroyos – was key in creating this world class destination focused around the discerning expectations of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts guest.”

Beyond the guestrooms will soon be numerous amenities that families, couples and friends can enjoy. These include two adult-only infinity pools and one kids pool with a mini waterpark; first-class fitness centre with Life Fitness equipment; a full-service beauty salon; laundry mat; health clinic; concierge services and more. There will also be a signature spa offering a menu of healing massages and body therapies with organic local ingredients and essential oils.

Also offering ocean views, Grand Solmar The Residences at Rancho San Lucas offers additional options of two-, three- and four-bedroom Penthouse Suites. Inside, the design is reflective of the desert-by-the-sea vibe of Los Cabos. Guests will find wooden cabinetry and light furnishings that are accented by vibrant Mexican colours and marine elements such as corals and shells.
