Riu Jalisco reopens with 120 additional rooms
RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the Riu Jalisco in Riviera Nayarit following a complete renovation and expansion that added 120 rooms to the property.
The hotel now features 820 rooms, including a new room category accommodating up to six guests.
All rooms were renovated during the project.
The property's outdoor areas were completely redesigned with six swimming pools, including two children's pools featuring games and slides, and four family pools along the seafront.
The largest pool includes bar service, while a second features a swim-up bar.
Two additional pools are designated for relaxation and sports activities, respectively.
New children's facilities include a splash pad with slides and renovated RiuLand play space.
The expansion added three dining concepts: American Country restaurant serving classic American dishes, Candy ice cream parlour and Sports Bar.
RIU is incorporating American Country and Candy concepts across all refurbished and new hotels.
These additions join Don Gabriel buffet restaurant and four specialty restaurants: Steak House, Sakura Asian restaurant, Agave Mexican restaurant and Duomo Italian restaurant.
The property also offers Pepe's Food grill station and Tiki Taco taco stand.
Including the ice cream parlour and Sports Bar, the hotel operates eight bars.
The property continues hosting RIU Party events each Friday featuring shows and family entertainment.
The Riu Jalisco renovation represents RIU's continued investment in Riviera Nayarit, where the company previously renovated Riu Vallarta in 2019 and Riu Palace Pacifico in 2023.
