Pet owners looking to enjoy a getaway without leaving their furry companions behind now have a new option at Club Med Québec Charlevoix.

The all-inclusive mountain resort is introducing a limited-time dog-friendly offering, allowing guests to bring their dogs along for a memorable vacation experience.

Available from May 15 through October 12, the initiative will apply to select room categories, creating an opportunity for guests and their pets to enjoy the scenic landscapes and outdoor experiences that Charlevoix has to offer together.

To support the program, a fixed non-refundable cleaning fee of $150 plus taxes per dog will be charged. The fee covers room cleaning and maintenance throughout the duration of the stay.

To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, several guidelines have been put in place.

Guests are required to bring all necessary items for their dog, and only one dog per room will be permitted. Dogs must be properly trained, remain under control, and be kept on a leash at all times while on the property.

Pet owners will also be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and for any damages that may occur during their stay. For operational and safety reasons, housekeeping services will not be provided if dogs are left unattended in guest rooms.

Additionally, dog insurance is mandatory, regardless of the length of stay, and dogs must be walked only in designated areas throughout the resort.

Summer wellness retreat

Club Med Québec Charlevoix, which opened in December of 2021, operates as a one-stop shop for skiing during winter, but transforms into a playground for wellness, adventure, and reconnection throughout the summer months.

A little more than an hour’s drive from Quebec City, the 302-room resort is wedged into the slope of a forested region, at the foot of a ski hill, in between quiet villages, in a prime spot: high up, facing the grand St. Lawrence River, on the north shore.

What’s it like to visit during the summer? PAX visited the resort back in July of 2023. Read our exclusive report here!
