Oasis Arena opens with a bang this month

Oasis Hotels & Resorts is set to open the Oasis Arena at the Grand Oasis Cancun this month, with a pair of inaugural events taking place at the new entertainment facility.

Following a thorough construction project, the Oasis Arena features the latest light and sound technology, ready to host musical performances and sporting events. Adjacent to the arena and set apart from the other meeting facilities, the Yucatan Salon will provide attendees with a cinema-like ambience and retractable screen for films and multimedia shows. Breakout rooms located in the atrium area are fully-equipped with AV technology and an executive board room will be able to accommodate up to 20 executives for leadership or planning sessions in private, comfortable surroundings. The new Oasis Arena offers guests nearly 30,000-square-feet of combined event space, in addition to outdoor deck areas, a beach club stage and more than 20,000-square-feet of oceanfront poolside terraces.

With the ability to accommodate up to 2,500 fans within the new arena, the brand has already announced a slate of events set to take place, starting off with “The Moment of Truth” boxing match between Cristian “Diamante” Mijares and Tomas “Gusano” Rojas (tickets can be purchased at the property).

The arena will officially open on April 15 with a performance by reggaetón musician and Latin singing sensation Maluma. Tickets to both events are available here.

The Oasis Arena is the company’s latest update to its entertainment offerings, having recently launched the Red Casino at Grand Oasis Cancun, the first on-property casino in Cancun.
