The holidays arrive at Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen

For travellers spending Christmas on vacation this year, the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen is getting into the holiday spirit with a series of themed experiences starting Dec. 22.

For the first time, the resort will hold its own version of the traditional La Posada celebration on Decc. 23, offering travellers the opportunity to take part in a modern interpretation of the authentic tradition. Additional dining options will include chef's tables, live interactive stations manned by the resort's expert culinary team serving made-to-order specialties, daily poolside BBQs, pop up Bellini bars and a traditional Christmas Eve dinner on Dec. 24 at La Cocina and The Grill @ 126.

Daily festive events and activities taking place across the resort include ornament making, writing letters to Santa, a piñata party, cookie decorating and pastry making demonstrations with the resort Pastry Chef, along with visits from Santa and his elves.

Guests are also invited to ring in the New Year with a Roaring Twenties themed celebration, featuring a 1920's Great Gatsby style party with lavish culinary buffets, handcrafted cocktails and non-stop live Broadway-inspired performances.
