An exclusive tour of the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta

Surrounded by lush green mountains and facing the beautiful bay of Puerto Vallarta, the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel has a lot to offer holidaymakers in search of a festive atmosphere.

Rock and roll attitude

The tone is set aupon arrival at the entrance of the hotel: artifacts that belonged to some of the greatest names in the history of music fill the walls of the lobby (there are 186 scattered around the hotel) and Santana's catchy song Black Magic Woman plunges vacationers into the early '70s.

Outside, on the edge of one of the resort's three pools, musicians pick up classics from the '90s, to the delight of bathers of all ages, who sing the words heartily.

The rock theme extends into the 362 rooms, where quotes from famous musicians dot the walls and where amateur musicians can borrow a Fender guitar. Music lovers, for their part, have the opportunity to borrow a portable turntable.

The employees are smiling, friendly and helpful.

Those who want to find some calm can always head to the beach, where it's possible to lie on one of the many folding chairs to fall asleep to the sounds of the Pacific waves.

Shows and activities

The resort has six restaurants, each offering a different type of cuisine: The Market (International), Frida (Mexican), Zen (Asian), Ciao (Italian), Ipanema (Brazilian Grill) and Pizzeto (wood oven pizza).

But what sets this hotel apart from its competitors is certainly its offer of activities. Classes (yoga, aerobics, dance) are offered during the day and spectacular family shows are presented in the evening.

During our visit, a magician, fire-eaters and a tribute to Michael Jackson amazed the audience who were gathered in the very nice amphitheater, located right next to the beach.

For an additional fee, tourists can participate in many activities outside the hotel: swim with dolphins, enjoy whale sightings in the spring, scuba diving, and horseback riding, among others.

It should be noted that teenagers can gather in The Cavern, a place where there are arcade games, billiard tables and other games. The youngest will be able to take advantage this fall of the brand new Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, where they will be welcomed by brand new mascots, which have not yet been unveiled.

Musical Spa

Another great exclusivity of the Hard Rock certainly lies in the services offered by the Rock Spa, which has been completely renovated. It is possible to get massages and traditional beauty treatments, but also a unique and original experience: to be massaged on a musical table, which uses the vibrations of the music to relax and target certain parts of the body.

One of the rooms of the Spa is equipped with this new system of music therapy, which we made use of during our stay. These vibrations have a calming effect on both the body and the mind.
