TravelOnly hosts Symposium at Sea in Alaska, highlights power of connection
TravelOnly recently hosted its 2025 Symposium at Sea, which brought together travel advisors and industry supplier partners for an enriching blend of professional development and discovery.
Sailing through the Inside Passage of Alaska aboard Holland America Line’s Koningsdam, this year’s gathering reflected the theme: “Reaching New Heights Together: The Power of Connection.”
As Alaska’s landscapes provided a powerful backdrop for reflection, learning, and collaboration, many advisors shared that the Symposium offered the ideal mix of professional growth and the chance to reconnect with their passion for travel, reads a press release.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better place to come together and share ideas,” said Gregory Luciani, president and CEO of TravelOnly. “Alaska’s natural beauty reminded us of why we love what we do, but even more importantly, it reinforced the value of being together as a community. These events are vital—they’re where we exchange ideas, build trust with our partners, and strengthen the bonds that help us all succeed. That spirit of collaboration is what drives our industry forward.”
Coinciding with Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, the Symposium was a chance to celebrate the vital role advisors play in shaping travel experiences and building trust with clients.
Throughout the week, advisors engaged in dynamic supplier presentations, insightful sales and marketing-related sessions, and strategic one-on-one conversations.

“This event was about more than just business — it was about strengthening our community and sharing the journey together. The connections we make here will continue to inspire us long after we leave the ship,” noted Ann Luciani, TravelOnly’s CFO.
The team at Gin & Tonic Travel were experiencing Holland America for the first time.
“The relaxed pace allowed us to build deeper connections and gain insights from suppliers in a setting that was both inspiring and supportive. We’re leaving with new ideas and fresh energy,” said the team in a statement.
Christine Kaufman, a TravelOnly advisor, added that the service, food, and entertainment were “outstanding,” noting how the personal touches from the Holland America staff “made it an unforgettable experience” for her parents, who joined her on the voyage.

TravelOnly emphasizes a family dynamic that extends beyond our advisors to include their loved ones and the communities they serve.
“At TravelOnly, we believe that family goes beyond our homes; it includes our advisors, their families, and the communities we build together. This sense of belonging and shared purpose is what makes experiences like the Symposium at Sea truly special,” said Ann.
Gregory also expressed his appreciation for the week’s hosts.

“A heartfelt thank you to our gracious hosts, Holland America Line, Aaron Crawford (business development manager – Eastern Canada) and Stephanie Tate Croning, business development representative – Canada & Western USA) for their outstanding hospitality and attention to detail throughout the week. Their efforts created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that helped make this Symposium truly unforgettable,” he said.
