The travel industry remembers Mary Ogaki
Mary Ogaki

The travel industry is remembering Royal Caribbean’s Mary Ogaki, who passed away unexpectedly in Newfoundland this week.

Ogaki, who joined Royal Caribbean as national accounts manager in August 2013, had a long career in the Canadian travel industry, including previous roles at Red Seal Tours, Encore Cruises, Thomas Cook and Transat Distribution Canada.

Numerous messages left on Mary’s Facebook page this week from members of the Canadian travel industry remember her as a good friend and colleague.

Chad Kowalenko of Royal Caribbean remembers Mary as “An amazing friend & partner who called it like it was and who knew how to make everyone laugh and feel good no matter what the circumstance.""

“If you have met Mary Ogaki even for a second, you remember her, she touched you! You were kind, the biggest heart on the planet, passionate, tirelessly pushing what you could do for this business, so so generous,” wrote Sabrina Greca of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Flemming Friisdahl, founder of The Travel Next Door added: “If you didn’t know her, you really missed out. Mary had a boisterous laugh that was very contagious, and she loved the travel industry, which means she loved you guys.”

The LogiMonde media team expresses our deepest condolences to friends and colleagues of Mary Ogaki.
