Oceania to refurbish Marina in October 2026

Oceania Cruises will carry out a full refurbishment of its ship Oceania Marina in October 2026 as part of its OceaniaNEXT program.

The 1,250-guest vessel will undergo a stem-to-stern update during dry dock, including a redesign of all staterooms and upgrades across public spaces.

The work marks the first in a series of planned fleet enhancements under OceaniaNEXT, an initiative focused on updating ship design, cuisine, service and enrichment.

According to the cruise line, the goal is to align the existing fleet with the look and feel of its upcoming newbuild ships.

"At Oceania Cruises, raising the bar is not an initiative – it is our mindset. We are constantly refining the guest experience, from elevating our culinary offerings to creating more intimate, immersive ways to explore the world's most iconic destinations," said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises.

"With OceaniaNEXT, we are reaffirming our commitment to modern luxury by ensuring every ship in our fleet reflects the refined style, attention to detail and thoughtful innovation that define our brand. This is how we continue to bring to life The Joy of Traveling Well."

What's changing

All staterooms will be redesigned with new layouts, updated furnishings and new bathrooms with marble finishes and rainforest showers.

Penthouse, Oceania, Vista and Owner's Suites will receive a lighter refresh to maintain consistency with their recent enhancements.

Public areas such as bars and lounges will be updated with new furnishings, lighting and carpeting.

The Grand Lounge will be expanded and will include a new Founders Bar concept.

A new Chef's Studio will replace the Artist Loft, with a focus on culinary demonstrations and tasting experiences.

The ship's coffee venue, Baristas, will be expanded to include a bakery serving pastries and baked goods throughout the day.

Signature restaurants including Polo Grill, Red Ginger, Toscana and Jacques will also be updated, alongside galley improvements.

On deck, new loungers and day beds will be introduced around the pool area.

Oceania said onboard service will remain unchanged following the refurbishment.
