Holland America returns to Alaska with expanded 2026 season
Holland America Line will launch its 2026 Alaska season on April 25 with Eurodam arriving in Seattle, marking the start of a program that includes more than 100 voyages across six ships.
Sailings run from April through September, with itineraries ranging from seven days to 28 days, including a Legendary Arctic Circle Solstice cruise.
Departures operate roundtrip from Seattle and Vancouver, as well as between Vancouver and Whittier.
The season features updated onboard programming, enhanced dining and more than two dozen new shore excursions.
“As the leader in Alaska, we are committed to delivering experiences that are as enriching as they are unforgettable, bringing guests closer to the region in meaningful ways,” said Robert Morgenstern, senior vice president, Alaska Operations at Holland America Line.
“From new shore excursions and enhanced programming to our industry-leading fresh fish offerings, every detail of our 2026 season is designed to help guests connect more deeply with Alaska's natural beauty and cultural heritage.”
The cruise line is introducing 25 new excursions, including glacier-focused and wildlife experiences in destinations such as Juneau, Anchorage, Kodiak and Sitka.
Onboard, “Glacier Day” returns as a signature feature, with programming dedicated to glacier viewing, including commentary, presentations and open-bow access.
Each itinerary includes at least one glacier destination, such as Glacier Bay National Park, Hubbard Glacier or Dawes Glacier.
New for 2026, the Teen Ranger program will be available across all ships, expanding youth-focused programming for guests aged 13 to 17.
Wildlife remains a central focus, with onboard experts and shore excursions designed to showcase Alaska’s ecosystems, alongside visits to sites like the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
Culinary programming continues to emphasize local sourcing through the line’s Global Fresh Fish Program, with regionally inspired dishes and onboard experiences tied to Alaska’s food culture.
Cruisetours combining Alaska sailings with land experiences in Denali National Park and the Yukon will also return, alongside ongoing upgrades at Holland America’s Denali Lodge.
Six ships will operate in Alaska for the 2026 season: Koningsdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam and Zaandam.
