Holland America Line is marking its 153rd anniversary with a monthlong promotion while also expanding its onboard culinary programming through its Culinary Ambassador partnership.

The cruise line’s Anniversary Sale runs from April 2–30, 2026 and applies to departures from April 2026 through spring 2027, with itineraries ranging from four to 69 days.

The offer includes up to 30 per cent off cruise-only fares, onboard credits of up to $400 per stateroom, 50 per cent reduced deposits and free third and fourth fares for children ages 18 and under travelling in the same stateroom on select sailings

"Celebrating 153 years of ocean exploration is about honoring the guests who have traveled the world with us," said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line.

"The Anniversary Sale is both a thank you to our loyal guests and an invitation to new travelers to experience our thoughtfully designed itineraries, immersive destination experiences and exceptional service—all with added value and special savings.”

The promotion covers sailings across the line’s global network, including Alaska, Caribbean, Canada/New England, Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Australia/New Zealand, South America/Antarctica, Pacific Coast, Hawaii, Tahiti, Panama Canal, Mexico and Asia, as well as Alaska Cruisetours and longer Collectors’ Voyages.

The sale can be combined with Holland America Line’s “Have It All” premium fare, which adds shore excursions, a Signature Beverage Package, specialty dining and a Wi-Fi Surf Package.

Example pricing includes seven-day Alaska sailings from $103 per person, per day and Canada & New England itineraries from $79 per person, per day.

Taxes and fees are included. The offer excludes cruises of three days or less and Grand Voyages.

Tea programming expands onboard

Holland America Line is also adding new culinary programming at sea through its partnership with Art of Tea founder Steve Schwartz, who recently joined the Grand World Voyage aboard Volendam from March 24–30.

Schwartz, a Culinary Ambassador for the brand, hosted a series of onboard experiences in Asia, including guided tastings, afternoon tea service, seminars and informal talks focused on tea culture, sourcing and preparation.

“Tea has always been a bridge between people, cultures and moments of ritual,” said Schwartz.

“To bring that spirit aboard Holland America Line’s Grand World Voyage in Asia and to help shape a custom tea experience for guests was truly meaningful.”

Programming included an Exclusive High Tea in the Dining Room, a Tea Tasting Experience and a “Rituals of Tea” seminar, along with a Coffee/Tea Chat at World Stage.

Schwartz also collaborated with the cruise line on a custom tea blend, now featured as part of its Dutch Tea service.

On shore, guests participated in tea-focused excursions in Singapore and Vietnam, including visits to traditional teahouses and experiences highlighting regional tea practices.

The initiative is part of Holland America Line’s broader Culinary Ambassador program, which brings chefs and beverage experts onboard to deliver destination-focused food and drink experiences.
