Why should I take the 2019 National Travel Agent Survey?
Why should I take the 2019 National Travel Agent Survey?
The simple answer is because it will help your suppliers, tourist boards and support organizations understand you better and tailor their support accordingly.
Rob Glennie Consulting is conducting the National Travel Agent Survey for the third year and this time, it has been expanded to include more types of agents. This will increase its value to agents, suppliers, tourist boards and the industry—and allow you to compare yourself with other types of agents.
This year, the survey has been expanded to include 4 different streams:
1. Home Based / Hosted Agent - Commission Only
2. Call Centre, Office or Store Front Agent - Commission Only
3. Call Centre, Office or Store Front Agent - Salary + Commission
4. Call Centre, Office or Store Front Agent - 100% Salary
Who is reading the results?
Well, first of all, you will be! Everyone who completes the survey can request the results. But also suppliers, host agencies, retail travel organizations, associations, tourist boards and pretty much everyone in the industry will be interested.
It is important to get as many agents to complete the survey as possible as the more agents complete the survey, including different types of agents, the better and more revealing the results will be for everyone.
Your opinion really does matter and this is your opportunity to provide your suppliers and other industry partners with greater insight into what is important to you.
This year the survey will provide unique insight into the entire retail sector and will help suppliers and tourist boards better understand the similarities – and the differences --- of the four different types of agents.
This, in turn, will help them better serve these groups and tailor their training and support to suit the needs of each group, including product training, FAM trips, sales support, collateral etc.
The survey will also provide data on the income levels, job satisfaction and overall happiness of different types of agents.
