Inaugural Caribbean ConnEX Canada highlights MICE & group travel

The first-ever Caribbean ConnEX Canada event focusing on the Caribbean for incentives and group travel was successfully held on November 2, according to a press release. 

The exclusive gathering, organized by VoX International, brought together a host of Caribbean exhibitors and sponsors to provide an unparalleled learning experience for qualified incentive planners. 

The invitation-only day, attended by industry professionals, sought to uncover the latest trends and opportunities in the world of incentives and group travel, all with a focus on the Caribbean.

Exhibitors and sponsors that contributed to the event's grandeur included prominent names in the travel and hospitality industry, making it a unique platform for networking and forging valuable connections.

Exhibitors included airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, hotels and all-inclusive resorts, DMC’s and Tourist Boards from various Caribbean destinations. 

Sponsors included the Bahamas Tourist Office, Melia Resorts International, Ignite and the Incentivist.

Throughout the morning, the event featured an insightful panel discussion that delved into the latest industry trends, emerging opportunities, and the crucial topic of sustainability in the world of incentives and group travel. 

A delectable Caribbean-themed lunch helped guests discover the vibrant and diverse flavours of the Caribbean. 

In the afternoon, one-on-one appointments with exhibitors allowed incentive planners to explore customized solutions and discuss potential partnerships to enhance their incentive and group travel offerings. The event culminated with a cocktail reception featuring Caribbean-inspired music and ambiance.

By bringing together a diverse group of exhibitors, sponsors, and qualified incentive planners, this event set a new standard in the industry, showcasing the Caribbean as an enticing destination for incentive and group travel.  

Plans are already underway for the 2024 event, VoX says.
