Black Friday roundup: travel deals that can save your clients money

Black Friday – a colloquial term that kickstarts the holiday shopping season – is in full swing as retailers unleash limited-time offers and money-saving deals.

The travel industry is no exception, and ahead of the official day (Nov. 29), suppliers are already unlocking bargains on select itineraries and products that can help your clients save big.

The promos are pouring in, and it's a lot to keep track of, but PAX has your back. 

Here’s a round-up of the latest offers – including Cyber Monday (Dec. 2) and Travel Tuesday (Dec. 3) deals – that have crossed our news desk so far.

Blue Diamond Resorts

Blue Diamond Resorts has launched its Black Friday sale, offering exclusive savings on its all-inclusive resorts across the Caribbean. 

Vacationers can enjoy savings of hundreds of dollars during the promo, which is available from November 6 to December 1, 2024.

Blue Diamond includes properties like Royalton CHIC Resorts and Hideaway at Royalton Resorts. Both brands have recently opened new properties such as Royalton CHIC Antigua and Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters. Families are equally catered to at Royalton Luxury Resorts, Planet Hollywood Beach Resorts, and Mystique by Royalton. 

Guests staying a qualifying number of nights will also benefit from added perks, such as complimentary roundtrip airport transfers, making it easier than ever to start their vacation as soon as they land.

Travellers who book during the Black Friday sale will have plenty of time to make their travel arrangements - trips can be scheduled until December 23, 2025. 

Prices and availability will vary depending on the property, room type, and season. 

BermudAir

BermudAir has a Black Friday Week Sale, running from November 26 through December 3, 2024. The airline is offering savings on upcoming adventures:

• 40% off all Business class and Economy class flights through December 18, 2024

• 30% off all Business class and Economy class flights from January 4 through March 31, 2025

• 20% off all Business class and Economy class flights from April 1 through June 30, 2025. 

Travel Periods: Now – December 18, 2024; January 4 – March 31, 2025; April 1 – June 30, 2025 (Blackout: December 19 – January 4)  Bookings can be made via the BermudAir website, travel agents, and GDS platforms.

Carnival Cruise Line 

Carnival's "More = Merrier sale" offers discounts on select Carnival sailings departing through May 2026 and save up to $125 per cabin. 

If you book three or more passengers in a cabin, deposits will be reduced to just $25 per person. You can take advantage of this offer through November 16.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises' Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deal runs through Dec. 9, 2024. Second passengers staying in a cabin can be booked for up to 75% off. 

The deal applies to nearly all sailings departing now through May 10, 2027, including on Celebrity's upcoming ship Celebrity Xcel. 

Sailings don't apply to Galapagos cruises on Celebrity Flora, as well as on Celebrity Summit's Alaska cruisetours departing between May 9 and Sept. 5, 2025. Details here. 

Collette

Cunard

Cunard has kicked off the holiday season by offering travellers Black Friday / Cyber Monday promotions, available on select itineraries, sailing from January 2025 through November 2026. 

Voyages are available all around the world on all of Cunard's Queens – flagship Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and their newest just launched this year, Queen Anne.

Fares start at $899 per person (taxes and fees included) on new voyages booked from November 21 through December 9, 2024, plus guests can receive an onboard credit of up to $400 per stateroom for Princess and Queen Grills suites.

Expedia Group has announced its biggest Expedia TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program) sale event of the year, negotiating a minimum of a 30% discount for thousands of hotels worldwide. 

The Black Friday deals apply to bookings made between November 19-Dec 4, 2024, and are valid for travel through December 15, 2025. This presents an excellent opportunity for travel advisors to secure early bookings for 2025.

As a part of the Expedia TAAP Rewards program in Canada, advisors can earn one point for each dollar spent. Additionally, advisors can enter the Black Friday Rewards challenge for an opportunity to win additional reward points.

G Adventures

G Adventures’ 2024 Cyber Sale is on now, offering up to 30 per cent off on more than 400 adventures spanning all continents, including Antarctica, when travel is taken by April 30, 2025. 

The promo is on from Oct. 31 through to Dec. 3, 2024. Those looking to travel later in the year can save 10 per cent on a selection of trips departing between May 1 and Aug. 31, 2025.

Hurtigruten is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent off select sailings during its Black Friday sale, which runs November 13 through December 2, 2024.

Launching November 13, 2024, for travel advisors, travellers can choose between a wide range of sailings.

Signature Voyages

Last year, Hurtigruten launched its all-inclusive Signature voyages:

• The Svalbard Line, which operates during the extended summer season and takes in both the best of the Norwegian coastline and the Svalbard archipelago; and

• The North Cape Line, which operates during the extended winter season and focuses primarily on the spectacular Northern Lights.

This Black Friday sale period, Hurtigruten offers discounts of up to 25 per cent off select Signature departures until September 2025.

Hurtigruten’s Original Coastal Express

Launched in 1893, Hurtigruten’s Original Coastal Express itineraries promise an authentic way to experience the Norwegian coast, stopping in 34 ports from the south to the north.

It’s possible to do a full voyage or the shorter Northbound or Southbound, while the cruise liner also offers uniquely themed and guided sailings such as astronomy voyages, Follow the

Northern Lights, which combines Norway and Finland, and Follow the Midnight Sun, which includes travels to Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

This Black Friday sale period, Hurtigruten offers discounts of up to 50 per cent off select Coastal Express departures until September 2025.

HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions)

Intrepid Travel

Just in time for Travel Tuesday, Intrepid Travel has activated a cyber sale, running Nov 14-Dec 5, offering up to 20% on over 800 Intrepid tours, across thousands of international and domestic departures. 

During the Cyber Sale, Intrepid is matching donations dollar for dollar to the Intrepid Fondation.

Oceania Cruises has launched its "Best-Ever Black Friday Sale," featuring up to a four-category stateroom upgrade plus an exclusive additional amenity, offering added value of up to $5,500 per stateroom.

Sandals & Beaches Resorts 

Sandals Resorts International invites travellers to take advantage of its Black Friday sale, offering up to 65% off and up to a $1,500 booking credit, plus one night free on select room categories, on bookings made now through Dec. 3, 2024 (Travel Tuesday).

Brendan Vacations

Brendan Vacations is giving guests savings of up to 15% off on the brand's most popular guided tours including up to CAD$1,600 off the Romantic Britain and Ireland and nearly CAD$1,100 off Best of Ireland and Scotland. Custom itineraries also feature doorbuster savings of CAD$1,200 off per couple for the first 50 guests on any custom trip booked for travel from January through March 2025.
