TICO suspends registration of Temple & Temple Tours

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has issued an Immediate Temporary Suspension Order for Temple & Temple Tours Inc. – a travel agency based in Toronto, ON.

Temple & Temple Tours Inc. specializes in educational tours for student group travel, according to a TICO news bulletin. The council says the agency must cease all travel sales and counselling activity immediately.

TICO has also issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke the business’ registration. Temple & Temple Tours Inc. is entitled to a hearing by the Licence Appeal Tribunal about this proposal.

It is alleged that Temple & Temple Tours Inc. has not been financially responsible in the conduct of its business, is carrying on activities in contravention of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 (the Act), and there are reasons to believe that it will not carry on business in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty as per section 8 of the Act.
