TICO Board approves $1,240 in Comp. Fund claims

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO) Board of Directors approved five claims against the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund on Dec. 16, totalling $1,240 to assist five consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.

According to a new bulletin, the approved fund claims are:

Temple & Temple Tours Inc.

Five claims to assist five consumers, totalling $1,240.

To date, the Compensation Fund has assisted 631 consumers, totalling $138,572 in claims in relation to the closure of Temple & Temple Tours Inc, TICO said. 

TICO’s Board of Directors denied one claim linked to Temple & Temple Tours Inc. because it did “not contain sufficient documentation” to substantiate it, the council said.
