TICO announces new council members

Following a comprehensive recruitment and selection process, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has announced several new members of the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC).

“The appointees to both councils bring a wide range of leadership experience, industry insights and consumer viewpoints,” said TICO’s CEO Richard Smart. “Their guidance will play a key role in shaping how we deliver TICO’s consumer protection mandate, supporting the interests of consumers and Ontario’s travel sector.”

Launched in early 2024, the CAC and the IAC play a crucial role in advising the TICO Board of Directors and management on matters related to consumer protection, challenges and opportunities affecting Ontario’s travel industry and overall emerging trends.
