TICO accepting applications for two board positions; AGM set for Sept. 25

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) Board of Directors is now accepting applications from experienced leaders within and beyond the travel industry for two positions on the board.

The two positions are: 

• One Industry Director (who is involved in the travel industry); and
• One Public Director (who has no direct personal or business interest in the travel industry).

The application deadline is Monday, June 30, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. For more information and application instructions, click here.

Annual meeting 

Meanwhile, mark your calendars. TICO's Annual Meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, September 25, 2025. at 5 p.m. EST.

The meeting will complete a variety of actions, including receiving financial statements from the previous financial year, together with the Auditor’s Report, receiving and considering the Annual Report, appointing the auditors for the Corporation and authorizing the Board of Directors to fix the auditor’s remuneration, electing directors, and transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Only members in good standing are entitled to participate in and vote at the meeting, TICO says. Members of the public are also invited to watch the event.

More details and instructions will be provided in the official notice of meeting, which will be released at least thirty days prior to the meeting.

Members who will not be attending the meeting are invited to submit written requests for proxies. Copies of the audited financial statements as at and for the fiscal period ended March 31, 2025 will be posted on TICO’s website in advance of the meeting or may be requested in writing prior to the meeting.
