Nominations open for 2026 ACTA Awards, new category added

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) says nominations are now open for the 2026 ACTA Awards, which recognizes outstanding travel professionals and industry leaders from coast to coast.

Each year, ACTA honours individuals who are making a meaningful impact on the Canadian retail travel industry.

The ACTA Awards celebrate excellence, leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to elevating the profession across a range of categories.

A new category has been added this year – Travel Manager Award.

Award Categories Include:

• Leisure Travel Advisor Award

• Corporate Travel Advisor Award

• Tomorrow’s Leader Award

• Ches Chard Education Award

• Gerald Heifetz Advocacy Award

• CTC/CTM Lifetime Achievement Award

• New for 2026: Travel Manager Award

The new Travel Manager Award recognizes a manager in either corporate or leisure travel who demonstrates outstanding leadership, versatility, and innovation while delivering exceptional service to both clients and their teams, reads a press release.

This individual brings extensive knowledge of global travel options and uses that expertise to anticipate client needs and deliver timely, effective solutions.

They foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment by mentoring advisors, sharing knowledge, and  empowering their teams to consistently deliver exceptional service.

They also set a high standard for both  client satisfaction and team success.

Members of the travel industry are encouraged to submit nominations for colleagues, peers, or even themselves.

Nominees must be ACTA Members in good standing, and a panel of industry experts will review all submissions to select this year’s recipients.
