A tech-powered tour operator that’s redefining how FIT travel is planned has expanded its footprint in the Canadian market.

Worldia, whose technology enables agents to plan, customize, and sell FIT packages in minutes, has strengthened its Canadian presence with the appointment of three key team members to support its rapid growth.

Jonathan Boiria has been named head of Canadian market, reads a press release. He has been leading Worldia’s expansion in the United States, Canada, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Gabriel Holton has also been appointed as an account manager. Holton previously contributed in building the support teams for Worldia’s North American partners.

For Quebec, Margaux Louisia has also been named an account manager. Fluent in French, Louisia has managed French-speaking key accounts for seven years at Worldia.

Technology-driven FIT tour operator

Worldia’s technology provides travel pros with a “fast, easy, and highly-personalized way to understand what a dream trip will cost,” as Tannis Dyrland, founder of Alberta’s Tisson Travel Group, told PAX earlier this year.

The platform provides agents with real-time rates and access to over one million products in 85+ destinations, including 23,000 curated hotels, 6,000 exclusive activities, as well as transfers, trains, car rentals and ferries, so they “can focus on closing sales instead of chasing quotes,” the company says.

Worldia says the monthly number of FIT quotes done by Canadian agents on its platform nearly tripled (+279 per cent) in the last six months.

The company’s unique blend of technology, product and tour operator services is helping more agents book FIT like never before.

Canadian agents booking with Worldia have also achieved remarkable results, earning in average over $1,100 (CAD) commission per booking.

Catch them at ACTA

The new Canadian team will be showcasing Worldia’s technology platform and services at the ACTA Eastern Canada Travel Industry Summit on Sept. 11 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

In addition, throughout September, the team will be conducting sales visits and partner events across Canada to connect with travel professionals and demonstrate their FIT technology tour operations.

Founded in 2013, Worldia has served travel agencies across France, Germany, Belgium, the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.

After securing $27 million USD in Series B funding in 2023, the company has expanded rapidly into North America, enabling more advisors to book FIT travel.
