Lyne Chayer named VP, customer experience & vacations – Quebec at WestJet Group
WestJet Group has promoted Lyne Chayer to vice-president, customer experience and vacations – Quebec, a role she assumed on Oct. 16.
Chayer previously served as vice-president of Sunwing Vacations Group in Quebec.
The airline says the expanded position reflects its effort to strengthen the customer experience in Quebec and grow its vacation offering in the province.
Chayer will continue to oversee WestJet Group’s packaged-travel operations in Quebec and will act as a customer advocate for the region within the organization.
“As we plan our future growth, Quebec remains an important strategic opportunity for us,” said Samantha Taylor, chief customer experience officer at WestJet Group.
“Thanks to Lyne’s leadership and her deep knowledge of the Quebec market, she will play a vital role in improving the customer experience and strengthening our presence in the province. Quebec remains a strategic priority, and we are pleased to continue our commitment to this market.”
Chayer said her focus is on ensuring Quebec travellers understand the service WestJet offers and that the province’s needs are represented internally.
“We have been operating successfully in Quebec for 18 years and remain fully dedicated to growing our market share by providing exceptional service to our travel-agent partners and shared customers,” she added.
“This expanded role will allow WestJet to refine its offering and enhance the customer experience across Quebec, ensuring we continue to meet the region’s unique expectations while delivering on our promise of high-quality, affordable vacations,” WestJet Group said.
